Neon

We will launch child-sized frames that work with children aged ~2 and over. Just like with the adult versions, no calibration or setup is needed for operation, making data collection with this demographic much easier! The frames are comfortable to wear and come in a bright yellow color to make them more fun! The first beta versions of those frames are expected to be released in May 2023 with the name "All Fun and Games". During the beta phase, we will conduct a comprehensive technical evaluation of Neon's performance with children.

The "I can see clearly now" frame is designed to hold prescription lenses, and it has a quick-change feature to easily switch out the lenses for different prescriptions. This makes it easy to adjust to new subjects quickly. Lenskits will be available covering a wide range of prescription values. More details on the exact values will be available soon. The “I can see clearly now” frame is expected to be available by the beginning of May.

The Neon app will be able to stream eye video and IMU data vai the real-time API. The Python client will be extended with this functionality accordingly.
