Pupillometry and eye state estimation data will become available for Neon.
The pupillometry data will include the pupil diameter in millimeters per eye calculated at 200 Hz as well as the 2D pupil centers in pixels and the 3D pupil centers in millimeters.
The eye state estimation will consist of the full pose of each eye, i.e. the 3D position and rotation of each eyeball in the respective eye camera coordinate system. This includes the 3D eyeball centers and 3D visual axes of the eyes. All data will be available at 200 Hz.
Initially, this data will only be available via Pupil Cloud. In the future, we also want to make this data available in real-time via the Companion phone, but this will require additional implementation effort tracked in a separate ticket.
The first release in Pupil Cloud is expected in
Q3 2023
. More details on the deployed algorithms and their performance will become available over time.
